My little Obsession

I have a little obsession. Like most girls I just absolutely adore shoes; boots to be more specific. Every Fall I search the internet to look for the perfect set of boots for the long New York winter. Often times, I'll only find one pair and wind up spending all winter in them. This year is going to be different, mostly because I just keep finding all of these adorable pairs of shoes! My preference usually leans towards more masculine/ steam punky types, so for me it's always been difficult to find a pair I love. This years tread seems to be just what I'm looking for and here are a few examples of the shoes that I've been pining over.

These Steve Madden boots. I posted about them before and I'm still a little obsessed! I've seen them in person at a couple different stores, yet never managed to try them on. I keep coming back to them so I think they'll be a definite buy.

These Blowfish shoes. I don't know if they're considered boots or sneakers, but they sure are cute and perfect for a casual look.

Another pair of Steve Madden's. I don't like them as much as the first because I have a similar pair from last year except in black. Now that I think about it they're kind of ugly, but that's also what kinda appeals to me... weird I know.

And last but not least another pair of Blowfish boots (starting to see a pattern?). These are definitely my second favorite pair of boots and I can honestly see myself purchasing them. I prefer the darker brown color because frankly I already have too many black pairs of shoes and I feel like I need some diversity.

C-C-C-CHANGES

This last week has been intense and I'm glad that it's almost over.  Several things have happened, both good and bad, that have really taken a toll on me emotionally. For starters one of my closest friends left for college this week. It's been difficult for me and the rest of my group because he was always there. Now that he's gone I feel like a small piece of our puzzle is missing and that's something we can't get back. I know this sounds dramatic, but he was literally at my house everyday and he really left an imprint. On the positive side, though, I got a job offering at another childcare facility. This one has it's flaws, from what Tara has told me, but I can learn to overlook them for more pay and job experience. Now I'll have a "real" job with better hours and I guess that's one step closer to me becoming a full fledged adult. It's sad leaving the kids behind. After all of these years I've really grown attached to some of them, so I'll definitely have to pay them a visit sometime. Others things have happened, things that I'm not comfortable discussing here, however I hope they are resolved soon...  Things are just changing so fast. Usually I'm not prepared for it, but this time I'm ready. I need  positive things in my life and I , myself, need to be more positive as well.

So the other day my sister Tara and I decided to pay our close friend Sally a visit at work. She works at TJ Maxx which is one of my all time favorite stores and with good reason! While I was there I spotted these beauties in the clearance section. They were marked down to $39 from $99 and they're Coach so I must admit I was pretty surprised.


Today at work was mundane at best. We stayed outside in the rain while the kids ran around. The weather was miserable and cold, but considering the alternative I guess I'd rather stand out it the rain.

Long lost blog

I haven't  posted on here for, oh I don't know, a couple of months? I've been kinda busy with work at summer camp and trying to get in all my time in with friends going off to college. It's been a pretty fun summer and I'm sad to see it go. The reason for this being that I don't have a full time job to look forward to come fall and I'm also taking a break from school seeing as how I graduated last spring. In essence I won't have anything going on at all. I've been looking for  a new job to no avail, but I'll just have to keep on looking if I plan on doing any thing besides staying at home all day long. Anyway I've decided that I need to keep this blogging thing up so I'm going to try and post a minimum of once a week. Lets see if I can keep it up :)
